Remembrance Day Ceremony at Brantwood Gates

Join representatives of the Canadian Armed Forces and ex-Service associations, including the Legion & Womens’ section, Cadet forces, Councillor Menard, civic leaders, OOECA board and community members this Sunday, November 5th at the Brantwood Gates starting at 10:30am.

Activities

  • This ceremony acknowledges the courage and sacrifice of all those who have served our country, and to take a moment to reflect on our responsibility to work for the peace they fought so hard to achieve.
  • The event begins with a parade led by cadets, singing of O Canada, remarks, poems, trumpeter, a moment of silence, and wreaths laid at the base of the Brantwood gates.

Temporary road closures 

  • Main Street at Beckwith and surrounding roads will be closed during the ceremony
  • Traffic marshals will be on-site to redirect vehicles.
  • Road closures are expected to last 1.5 hours from 10:15am to 11:45am.
