Volunteer canvassers needed in September and October

We are looking for volunteer canvassers who can dedicate a few hours through September and October for door-to-door canvassing and to collect membership fees and to distribute notices for our November 12 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Contact Jayson MacLean, our Membership lead, at membership@ottawaeast.ca to volunteer.

Canvassing activities

  1. Collect membership fees: Your canvassing kit will include an orientation sheet with OOECA key messages and advice on what to say when talking to residents. It will also include instructions to accept e-transfer payments and donations.
  2. Distribute OOECA AGM notices: Not interested in door-knocking or chatting with residents? We would still appreciate your help in putting AGM and membership notices in neighbourhood mailboxes.
