Greystone Development meeting to discuss height limits – May 7
The Old Ottawa East Community Association is hosting a meeting to discuss the proposed zoning changes at the Greystone Development. Regional Group has requested a planning change that would allow for buildings up to nine storeys on land currently zoned for up to a maximum of six storeys. This change could result in higher buildings in front of the historic Deschatelet Building, impacting the views of this iconic structure in the heart of our community. A copy of the proposed changes can be found on the City of Ottawa’s website here.
A meeting of Old Ottawa East residents is planned for Tuesday, May 7, at 7:00 pm at the Old Town Hall. The tight deadline is based on the need for the community to send comments to the city by May 13th. This meeting will give residents a chance to learn about the proposal and express their views.
If you are concerned by these changes, please plan to attend this important meeting. If you are unable to attend, but still want to express your views, please send an e-mail to Erin O’Connell at Erin.OConnell@ottawa.ca, and be sure to copy the councillor at shawn.menard@ottawa.ca.
