Main Street Renewal Open House scheduled for June 17

The Main Street Renewal Open House has been scheduled for June 17, 2013. More details about the time and location will be provided as soon as they become available.

At the April 10, 2013, Working Group Meeting on the Main Street Renewal, five options were presented. The OOECA supports the redesign of Main Street so that it becomes a comfortable and safe route for pedestrians and cyclists. The association is encouraged by the city’s willingness to consider the “complete streets” approach shown in the attached Option 5 but suggest that wide sidewalks and safe cycling lanes should continue the full length of Main Street, rather than ending at Immaculata High School as the city is now proposing.
