Fundraising Appeal to Fight Planning Decision on Oblates Development

The Old Ottawa East Community Association (OOECA) has initiated an appeal of a City of Ottawa planning decision that would allow the developer to construct several buildings taller than originally defined by the Secondary Plan at 10 Oblats Avenue. The current zoning allows for a maximum of six storeys, and the developer has been granted nine storeys. The community must raise at least $20,000 to have a successful appeal, as these funds would allow the community to pay for legal and planning professionals.
