Remembrance Day Commemoration at Brantwood Place Gates

Join Montgomery Legion and 742 air cadets with representatives of the Canadian Armed Forces and ex-Service associations, Legion & Womens’ section, Councillor Shawn Menard, MPP Catherine McKenney, and MP Yasir Naqvi, OOECA board and neighbours for a Remembrance Day commemoration at Brantwood Place Gates (Main and Beckwith) to honour our service people past and present.

Commemoration and reception details

  • The event begins at 10:45 AM with a parade led by the cadets strating from Grande Allée Park to Brantwood Gates
  • Commemoration includes singing of O Canada, remarks, poems, trumpeter, a moment of silence, and wreaths laid at the base of the Brantwood Place Gates.
  • After the ceremony, Montgomery Legion will host a reception to
    recognize and thank the cadets at the Legion’s Montgomery Branch, 330 Kent Street
    Ottawa, ON.

Temporary road closures 

  • The intersection of Main Street at Beckwith Road, and streets south and north of Brantwood Place Gates will be closed from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM.
  • Traffic marshals will be at road closure sites to redirect motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
