Notables on the 2024 drive

  • Our canvassers did very well in a number of areas, especially in the Greystone
    neighbourhood. Thank you!!
  • Accepting dues via e-transfer proved successful, although the large number of
individual transactions resulted in bank charges.
  • Some sections of OOE are very well covered by canvassers and captains while
others are not. The area north of the Queensway and the northwest area (west of
Main, north of Clegg) both need more volunteers going forward.

Plans for the next drive

  • Recruit more canvassers for the neglected streets.
  • Figure out if there’s a way around the bank charges.
  • We collected email addresses from members who paid their dues online and at
the in-person events like the Farmers Market. We’ll talk with the OOECA
Communications Committee about potentially creating an email list for periodic
mailouts to members. If it seems worthwhile and appropriate, we can make the
collection of email addresses a more integrated part of the membership drive.

A big thank-you to everyone who helped out!
