Public art on Main Street – June 25

The City of Ottawa invites residents to have their say about the public art to be commissioned for Main Street in the neighbourhood of Old Ottawa East, as part of the Main Street Renewal Project. The public can meet the five shortlisted artists and view their proposals for permanent exterior works.

A Peer Assessment Committee reviewed 44 proposals submitted by professional artists and artist teams for this opportunity. Five proposals were shortlisted for the next stage. The committee considers public feedback when selecting the winning proposal.

The five shortlisted artists and artist teams are:
– Cooke-Sasseville (Quebec)
– Lynda Cronin (Ottawa)
– Studio Kimiis Inc. (Toronto)
– Stuart Kinmond (Ottawa)
– Susan Point (Vancouver)
